Improv for ADHD and Anxiety

A six week group with Jake Frelick of District Kids focused on using improvisation and theater techniques to support 12-15 year olds in managing anxiety and ADHD.

Jake brings over 15 years of experience in schools and community-based non-profits that partner closely with schools in Baltimore, Chicago, and Washington DC. In 2014, he received his Master's degree in Social Work from The University of Chicago. Since that time he has provided services as a Social Worker with Second City Theater's Improv for Anxiety program, Monument Academy Public Charter School, and community-based non-profits such as Alternatives Inc. and One Common Unity.

Through social connections with other teens, interactive games, and structured exercises, learn practical tools to:

  • communicate clearly,

  • express emotions,

  • manage social and academic pressure, &

  • cope with anxiety and ADHD in new ways.
